Venice Beach Skate Park is closed and covered in sand and sand bags as Los Angeles County continues to enforce the stay-at-home order implemented during the coronavirus pandemic.
Crews used a bulldozer to dump sand into the pools and rails starting Thursday. ShakedMag shared a video of that event on Instagram.
By Friday, the work continued at the skate park, which is located at 1800 Ocean Front Walk in Venice. It’s unclear when the stay-at-home order will be lifted and when parks will be reopened in Los Angeles County.
Residents have complained that groups of people still gathered in Venice, and weren’t taking the stay-home order and social distancing preventative measures serious.
