AOC’s Chanting Partner, Revolution, and How SCOTUS Is ‘Endangering’ ‘Birthing People’

Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) were out in front of the Supreme Court on Friday after the decision overturning Roe was handed down by the Supreme Court. AOC chanted that the Supreme Court was “illegitimate” and that the people needed to get out into the “streets.” Mad Max called on people to “defy’ the Supreme Court.

AOC was being egged on/assisted by a woman with a megaphone dressed in green. That woman was Sunsara Taylor, who is part of Revcom, the Revolutionary Communist Party, which was started by Bob Avakian. She was even wearing a RevCom t-shirt. So, what was AOC doing with her?

Taylor was also a co-founder of Refuse Fascism, the group that led a lot of protests against President Donald Trump with the goal of getting him booted from office. She is now an “initiator” behind RiseUp4AbortionRights, as that group notes on their website. That’s the group you see dressing in green out in front of the Supreme Court and at the justices’ homes.

While there are people who are independently upset about the abortion decision, I think it’s important to point out the common threads behind the protests that you’ve seen over the past few years. The animating “cause” may vary, but there are some who are always pushing for people to be out in the streets and push the country further left.

What’s funny on top of this was how Taylor then followed up that moment with AOC, saying that if you didn’t want to keep losing to the “fascists,” you had to stop relying on and voting for the Democrats and get organized for revolution. Because of course, that’s the aim.

That’s who AOC was chanting “illegitimate” with, someone who does want a revolution. Talk about tearing down norms.

By the way, here Ocasio-Cortez is refusing to condemn the violence as we reported, but also wearing the green kerchief of Sunsara’s RiseUp4AbortionRights group.

If you look at some of the far left on social media, they’re mad at Democrats trying to use this to pump up the vote in November, saying that’s what they care about, not the issue itself–that if Dems cared about the issue, they would have done something to ensure abortion while they have had the power to do so.

While AOC didn’t have time to condemn violence, she did, however, have time to talk about the rights of women and “birthing people.”

They can’t define what a woman is. What are “birthing people,” if they are separate from “women”? I’m so confused. Notice how she said “women,” realized she made a mistake, and then immediately tried to clean it up with “birthing people.” Being a radical leftist must be so exhausting–when you have to police your language so and live in such unreality.
