Charlamagne tha God claimed the Supreme Court is biased toward former President Donald Trump and should be overhauled before it can influence the results of the presidential election.

During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the radio host speculated that the high court’s recent rulings on Chevron and presidential immunity indicate it favors Trump. The radio host went so far as to claim the Supreme Court is “no longer a legitimate institution.”

Charlamagne believes if Biden were to pull off a win in November, the justices would overturn the results of the election if Trump brought the case before them. There has been no evidence the high court would do this, even as Democrats have questioned the legitimacy of the Republican-led court.

As he hypothesized about what could happen in November, Charlamagne said Democrats should strategize about ways to make that impossible for Trump.

He told Colbert that he “would’ve declared a constitutional crisis” if he were President Joe Biden.

The radio host is known for his candid takes on politics. He declined to endorse Biden earlier this year, saying he was “not a good messenger in any way, shape, or form” during an interview with NewsNation. While admitting he suffers from “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Charlamagne said in May he finds it “strange” that liberals, such as the hosts on The View, pressured him to back Biden.

“I just think it’s kind of strange where we are as a culture and as a society where it’s almost like there’s either one of two extremes,” he told Megyn Kelly, the conservative host of SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show.

Recently, Charlamagne slammed a California law banning schools from notifying parents about students’ gender identity.
