The FBI arrested a Cincinnati city councilwoman Tuesday morning on “corruption-related” federal charges, her attorney told The Cincinnati Enquirer.
Cincinnati City Councilwoman Tamaya Dennard was arrested and is expected in federal court at 1:30 p.m., her attorney Erik Laursen told the newspaper. He said he did not know anything beyond the charges being “corruption-related.”
The FBI Cincinnati office’s acting media coordinator declined to comment to The Hill.
The councilwoman was supposed to chair a committee meeting at 11 a.m. but did not show up or inform anyone of her location, prompting the meeting to be canceled.
