Although a record number of voters have already cast their ballots ahead of Nov. 5, many U.S. citizens are heading to the polls on Tuesday to vote for local, state, and presidential candidates.

- While the official Alabama time zone is the Central Time Zone, several Alabama cities have elected to use the Eastern Time Zone
