Former President Donald Trump’s plane was forced to be rerouted and landed in Billings, Montana, after a mechanical failure.
Trump Force One was headed to a planned Friday rally at Bozeman, near the campus of Montana State University. His plane was seen landing at Billings in videos posted on social media. According to KTVH, the plane was forced to land due to a mechanical failure, and the former president will now take a private plane to Bozeman.
In a video posted on Truth Social, Trump delivered a short message from his plane without mentioning the forced landing.
“I just landed in a really beautiful place, Montana, so beautiful, flying over, and you just look down, and that’s the way it’s supposed to be,” he said. “But we have a very high rating in Montana. We have a lot of popularity. I like them, they like me, but I’m here to do some fundraisers and, most importantly, to support Tim Sheehy, who’s running for the U.S. Senate, and we think he’s going to do really well. We’re gonna have a rally, and it’ll be a lot of fun.”
