President Donald Trump attended the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey on Sunday, where he was spotted waving to the fans attending the game.
Trump was joined by first lady Melania Trump during their visit to MetLife Stadium, with footage of their departure after landing in New Jersey shared online by the White House. In the stadium, the president and his wife were seen watching the game, which featured Chelsea vs. Paris Saint-Germain, with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Another video posted on X featured Trump giving a salute as the National Anthem was played.
The FIFA Club World Cup was held a little less than a year before the FIFA World Cup starts in 2026. Next year’s competition is being co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, and will be held from June 11 to July 19.

Trump’s no stranger to attending major sporting events, as he became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl in February. Chelsea dominated the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday, securing the championship by a score of 3-0.
