President Donald Trump will address thousands of senior citizens in Florida about Social Security and retirement funding advancements during his first outing since the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner shooting.
Trump signed an executive order on Thursday promoting low-cost retirement savings options. The order emphasized that many Americans do not have access to employer-sponsored retirement plans.

“My Administration intends to give these often-left-out American workers access to the same type of retirement-savings opportunities,” Trump said in the order.
The document also announced the creation of “TrumpIRA.gov” by Jan. 1, 2027. The website will provide information about high-quality, low-cost independent retirement accounts and ensure a contribution match for those who open an IRA listed on the site.
The president will highlight recent gains in retirement savings and a major tax break for senior citizens — the elimination of taxes on Social Security from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act — at The Villages Charter School in The Villages, Florida, on Friday.
“After four years of disaster under Joe Biden, the President and Congressional Republicans are putting more money in families’ pockets by cooling inflation, lowering drug costs, expanding access to retirement accounts, and delivering the largest break for seniors in history,” the White House said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
Trump is expected to arrive around 3 p.m., but crowds lined up early — some even camping overnight to get an early spot to see the president.
Fox News’s Darren Botelho went to the school, where he said thousands of people were already in line.
“One man told us he’s been here since about 11 o’clock last night, he actually slept on an air mattress just to see President Trump speak,” Botelho said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends Friday.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz will also join Trump, along with media personality Dr. Phil.
“President Trump has launched the Golden Age for Americans in their golden years — and the best is yet to come,” the White House said.
