Trump Slams Omar Again: ‘She’s Got A Way About Her’ That Is ‘Very, Very Bad For Our Country’.

President Trump took aim once again at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on Monday, accusing the first-term Muslim lawmaker of being “disrespectful” to the United States.

In an interview with local news affiliate KSTP in Minnesota, the president said that Omar has “got a way about her that’s very, very bad for our country.”

“She’s been very disrespectful to this country. She’s been very disrespectful, frankly, to Israel. She is somebody that doesn’t really understand life, real life. What it’s all about,” he told a reporter.

“She’s got a way about her that’s very, very bad for our country,” Trump added.

Trump last week tweeted a video of Omar making remarks about the 9/11 terrorist attacks to the Council on American-Islamic Relations that was interspersed with images and video of the attacks themselves along with the text “We will never forget.”

Republicans have accused Omar of minimizing the terrorist attacks in the speech, and members of the GOP and her own party have described other comments she has made as anti-Semitic.

A top critic of the Israeli government, Omar has vowed that the criticism would not deter either her love for the U.S. or her desire to affect change in the Middle East.

“I did not run for Congress to be silent. I did not run for Congress to sit on the sidelines. I ran because I believed it was time to restore moral clarity and courage to Congress. To fight and to defend our democracy,” she tweeted earlier this month.

“No one person — no matter how corrupt, inept, or vicious — can threaten my unwavering love for America. I stand undeterred to continue fighting for equal opportunity in our pursuit of happiness for all Americans,” Omar continued.

Democrats have called on Trump to take down the video amid threats of violence reported to police by Omar’s office.
