President Donald Trump unleashed on Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), after they heckled him in his State of the Union address, saying they should be institutionalized or deported.
Omar and Tlaib were two of the most outspoken members of the audience during the State of the Union, throwing curses and insults at the president throughout. Trump responded directly in a colorful post on Truth Social, deriding their performance and calling for harsh action against them.
“When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, as they screamed uncontrollably last night at the very elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalized,” he wrote.
“When people can behave like that, and knowing that they are Crooked and Corrupt Politicians, so bad for our Country, we should send them back from where they came — as fast as possible. They can only damage the United States of America, they can do nothing to help it,” Trump continued, suggesting that they “get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro,” who he also insulted at length.
De Niro drew Trump’s ire over his headlining of the counter address to the State of the Union.
“The good news is that America is now Bigger, Better, Richer, and Stronger than ever before, and it’s driving them absolutely crazy!” Trump concluded.

When the U.S. hockey team entered the chamber, fresh off its gold medal win, Tlaib appeared to silently chant “KKK” while most of the audience chanted “USA.” She wore a “F*** ICE” pin and repeatedly accused Trump of corruption, of “killing Americans,” and screamed insults.
“How are those Epstein files? How are those Epstein files? Release them! … Release the Epstein files!” Tlaib shouted at another point.
Omar earned the attention of Trump during the speech when she got into a screaming match with him, yelling, “You have killed Americans,” and “You should be ashamed.”
At another point, she reportedly yelled the most crude insult of the night, calling Trump “a liar and a sick f***.”
Omar stood by her behavior in subsequent interviews the day after. Tlaib went further, adding more direct insults over X, including the claim that Trump is a pedophile.
“This hemar president pretends he cares about children. He is pedophile and protects people just like him. Keep your children away from this sicko,” Tlaib said, with “hemar” being Arabic for “donkey.”

“Can’t take two Muslimas talking back and correcting him so now he is crashing out. #PresidentMajnoon,” she said in a follow-up post, with “Majnoon” roughly translating to “possessed” in Arabic.
Omar and Tlaib walked out of the State of the Union right when Trump introduced a freed Venezuelan political prisoner, who was reunited with his niece.
