On Tuesday Supreme court ruled that Trumps transgender ban in the military is lawful. Justices Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, Justice Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan noted their dissent. Tuesday’s decision is a strong indicator in which direction the court will rule on this issue in the future. Estimates of the amount of transgenders in the military is 1000 to 6000, with potentially as many as 8000. Active duty personal who have gender dysphoria are allowed to remain as long as they serve as the sex the enlisted as.
