President Donald Trump’s comedic interaction with a reporter went viral Friday when a media question and answer session took an unexpected turn.

Trump was taking questions from the press on the Joint Base Andrews tarmac in Maryland when the moment occurred.

As a journalist pressed the president on the war in Gaza, live video footage captured Trump’s reaction when an unknown reporter’s large fuzzy microphone brushed his face.

The president first sharply raised his head and grimaced, giving the cameras an icy stare as he wagged his eyebrows expressively. Then, Trump relaxed into a slight chuckle as he ribbed the unfortunate journalist.

“She just made television tonight,” he told the media pool. “She just became a big story tonight, right? Did you see that?” Trump continued, breaking into a laugh and shaking his head.

Some conservative allies of Trump found the moment less than amusing in reactions posted to X.

“Unreal these people. Have some respect,” GOP activist Charlie Kirk lamented

“Security should tighten up. Embarrassing for the press,” right-wing personality Laura Loomer added

Others found the moment hilarious.

“Whoever just shoved that mic in Trump’s face is gonna have a long night,” one user wrote with a laughing emoji.

“Look at his face after it happened and tell me a new meme wasn’t just born,” another laughed
