Protesters Shout Death Threats Outside Mitch McConnell’s Home

Gun control supporters stood outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s home in Kentucky on Sunday night — protesting and hurling death threats at him — while broadcasting on Facebook Live.

“Murder Turtle!” the demonstrators can be heard shouting on video, in reference to McConnell’s infamous nickname.

“Come out, come out, wherever you are,” a person says at one point, while the others continue to yell.

“The bitch home — we keep seeing the lights go on and off,” another says. “This hoe really thought he was going to get ready to be at home after he hurt his little punk ass shoulder. Bitch, don’t nobody give a f–k! F–k your thoughts and prayers, Mitch. F–k you, f–k your wife, f–k everything you stand for. ”

The “emergency protest,” as the demonstrators described it, took place Sunday night while McConnell, 77, reportedly was home recovering from a broken shoulder after a fall he suffered. About 20 to 30 people attended.

Louisville metro police confirmed that the group was outside the senator’s residence, telling The Post they were “protesting peacefully.”

“We are assisting Capitol Police,” a spokesman said.

The department was unaware, however, of the threats being made on the 2-hour FB Live video.

In one clip — taken from the footage and posted online by Capitol Hill communications director Ben Goldey — a woman can be heard talking about stabbing McConnell in his heart. Protesters can be seen holding signs saying, “F–K YOU MURDER TURTLE!”

“Hopefully there’s somebody out there with some voodoo dolls of these bitches,” a man says, to which the woman replies: “Just stab the motherf–ker in the heart, please.”

“We’re out here because [McConnell] wants thoughts and prayers, when another white man massacres people,” the protester later adds.

At one point, she gets upset and begins shouting at the Capitol Police — along with several others.

“You can protect his ass,” the woman says. “Maybe I do wanna go to jail.”

The footage was posted on the FB page of Channelle Helm, a local Louisville resident who regularly posts about politics and gun control. The woman used the app to “check in” at McConnell’s house Monday night.

In the wake of the El Paso and Dayton shootings, Democratic lawmakers and gun control supporters have been blasting McConnell for not calling a Senate vote on a gun reform bill that was passed by the Democrat-controlled House back in February.

Many have urged him to call the Senate back into session and revisit the matter.

“The House passed HR8, a Bipartisan Background Checks Act, *5 months ago* and the Senate has yet to vote on it,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Sunday. “It was one of our 1st major priorities after ending the gov shutdown. You’ve been sitting on it since February giving bogus excuses.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Sunday said, “One awful event after another. Leader McConnell must call the Senate back for an emergency session to put the House-passed universal background checks legislation on the Senate floor for debate and a vote immediately.”

Nine people were killed and another 27 wounded in the Dayton mass shooting. Twenty-two died in the El Paso massacre and at least 24 were injured.
