No Kings announced Thursday that there will be nationwide protests against President Donald Trump on his 80th birthday next month.
The progressive organization said it would spearhead demonstrations on June 14, exactly one year after its first nationwide protest against the president, and the day it said Trump would be “distracted” by the UFC fight on the White House’s South Lawn. The protests will be the fourth No Kings has organized and will be anchored by a concert in New York, “celebrating the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment,” featuring celebrities such as Jane Fonda, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, and Patti Smith.
“We’ve shown our power in the streets time and time again, and we’re now bringing that power even more deeply into our neighborhoods,” No Kings said in a statement, referencing its numerous large-scale protests against Trump during his second term in office.
“June 14 is about building hyper-local infrastructure we need to fight back against authoritarian attacks on our communities,” it continued. “While politicians from the White House to state houses all across this country act like unaccountable kings, we’ll be doing the real work of bringing communities together in living rooms, community centers, and businesses across America.”
No Kings organizers and followers believe Trump to be an authoritarian figure who has suppressed American values and violated civil rights, particularly through Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations targeting illegal immigrants. The group is also known for its messaging targeting billionaires and large corporations, and it believes that the United States is “rooted in white supremacy, of suppressing the rights of people of color.”

The latest demonstration set for June comes after No Kings spearheaded over 3,000 demonstrations on March 28. Those were broadly peaceful, though some descended into chaos, with a small cluster of demonstrators in Los Angeles throwing rocks, bottles, and concrete at federal officers, and footage showing violent graffiti saying “Kill Your Local ICE Agent” painted on walls.
More than 2,500 No Kings protests were organized on Oct. 18, 2025, following the group’s demonstrations on June 14 of that year, Trump’s 79th birthday.
