President Donald Trump will launch his 2020 re-election campaign on Tuesday evening in Orlando, Florida. Crowds have been waiting for 40 hours to get into the 25,000 capacity Amway Center, and movie screens will be outside for the overflow crowd.
The Trump campaign is also using the 2020 launch event to promote watch parties across the nation and register voters to organize Trump’s grassroots supporters.
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan also launched his re-election campaign in an Orange County (Mile Square Park in Southern California) and went on to win 49 states in trouncing Democrat Walter Mondale. Trump will have a much tougher path back the White House—much of it because of self-inflicted wounds and advisers who are not versed in the America-first agenda that got Trump elected in 2016—and tonight’s rally will be a chance for Trump to try to get his swagger back and energize his supporters.

9:25 PM: Big cheers for Trump’s pro-life message:
Trump says Republicans believe that “every life is a sacred gift from God” after blasting Democrats for “ripping babies straight from the mother’s womb.” He says some Democrats, especially in Virginia, back “execution after birth.”

9:21 PM: Trump rips Sanders for not doing too well lately and criticizes Democrats running for president for embracing his Medicare for All plan.
Trump says: “America will never be a socialist country. Ever. Republicans do not believe in socialism. We believe in freedom.”
9:15 PM: Trump says the Democrats’ embrace of open borders and illegal immigration is “morally reprehensible and it’s the greatest betrayl of the American middle class and, frankly, American life our country has as a whole…nobody has seen anything like it.”
He says illegal immigration cuts off the path of the most vulnerable Americans and schoolchildren are being threatened by illegal MS-13 gangsters. He says mass illegal migration reduces living standards and strains public resources. Trump says if Democrats had to send their children to those overcrowded schools, they would not “tolerate it for one minute.” He says Democrats can get together with Republicans to solve the problem quickly in one meeting. He now blasts Democrats in California for giving health care to illegals instead of helping homeless citizens. He says Democrats support sanctuary cities and thanks Gov. DeSantis for ending the “horrible disaster” in Florida.

9:10 PM: Trump says tariffs are working and America has added 16,000 manufacturing jobs a month since he took office while the country was losing thousands of manufacturing job a month before that. Referring to Obama’s “magic wand” comments, Trump says he’ll tell “Sleepy Joe” Biden that he found the “magic wand” to bring back manufacturing jobs. He now brags about getting “right to try” legislation passed.
9:00 PM: Trump now introduces Sarah Huckabee Sanders and predicts she will run for governor. She says she has been in the front row of history to see him make “drastic changes” to make America great. She says “he’s fighting for all of the people in this room” and “will have an incredible six more years to make our country stronger than it has ever been.”
Trump says the Democrats are becoming “more radical,” dangerous and more unhinged than at any point in history.
#TrumpRallyOrlando filled a 20,000-seat arena. Compare to Obama 2012 — @CNN reported, "The Ohio arena, which holds around 20,000 people, appeared to be around two-thirds to three-quarters full, with around half of the seating in the upper deck empty." https://t.co/qPGWQ6f4Z8

8:57 PM: Trump claims he has never forgotten who sent him to the White House. Says he only thinks about how the American people can “win, win, win today” when he sits as his desk. He says there have been “few presidents that have been able to do what we have been able to do for you. It is a great, great feeling. I love it.” He says he is “breaking the most sacred rule in Washington politics”–“keeping our promises to the American people.” He says his only special interest is the voters.
8:54 PM: Trump tells the audience he is standing before them to officially launch his re-election campaign. “I will never ever let you down,” Trump says. “I won’t.” He says he is profoundly thankful to his family.

8:47 PM: Trump says China took Obama and Biden for “suckers” to take advantage of the US on trade.
8:45 PM: Trump rips the Washington insiders who have been “rigging the system so your losses will be their gains” while blasting the bipartisan political establishment for the flat wages and the loss of manufacturing jobs in addition to the “avalanche of job-killing regulations” and “one bad trade deal after another.” He rips Clinton for calling his supporters “deplorables” and says “irredemables” was probably worse.

8:38 PM: Trump rips Democrats for giving a “free pass” to Hillary Clinton while the crowd chants “lock her up.” Trump says if he deleted even a “love note” to Melania, he would get the electric chair. He asks voters to show up to “shut down this rigged system.” He predicts another “earthquake” to “finish the job” as the crowd chants “four more years.”
