On Monday the pope gave a rare mass on the Arabian peninsula where he embraced the radical cleric Ahmed-el Tayeb who on multiple occasions has called for the killing of christian converts. Ahmed-el Tayeb is Sunni Islams highest authority and often speaks out against western values, homosexuality as well as the calling for the killing of apostates.
