AOC Encourages Pregnant Women To Dodge Abortion Laws

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is encouraging women to dodge abortion laws in red states following the Supreme Court’s decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.

The congresswoman has repeatedly posted infographics discussing how women can obtain abortion pills in red states that ban abortions.

“It is possible that states who criminalize people who get abortions may begin to take advantage of digital surveillance to track people,” she said in an Instagram story warning of “privacy and surveillance concerns” in a post-Roe world.

She also shared an infographic on Twitter that urges women: “if a person needs to go to the hospital, they can say they are having a miscarriage. There’s no way for medical experts to tell the difference.”

“You can protect yourself,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “There are basic steps you can take to protect your digital security.”

The New York Democrat went on to answer a question from one of her followers in Texas about obtaining abortion pills.

“Is this safe?” the user asked. “Can they track my purchase?”

Ocasio-Cortez linked to the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol, which she called “Plan C,” saying that the drugs are safe and effective ways to abort an unborn baby under 11 weeks.

AOC directed her followers to Aid Access, an organization that provides online consultations for abortion drugs.

“In the US states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, DC, Idaho, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, our US doctors can provide abortions with the medicines mifepristone and misoprostol, which you will receive by mail within a few days,” Aid Access says on its website. “The costs of this service is 150 USD.”

“For other US states and other countries, our European doctors can provide the prescriptions for abortions with the medicines mifepristone and misoprostol,” the website adds. “You will be informed about a trustworthy pharmacy in India who will ship the medicines to you by mail. The delivery of the packages take 1 to 3 weeks after shipment. The cost of this service is 95 Euro or 110 USD.”

Women who wish to obtain a consultation must agree that some states may take legal action against them for acquiring the abortion drugs.

Ocasio-Cortez encouraged women to use throwaway email addresses, private browsers, and prepaid debit cards for abortion “OPSEC” (operations security).

“You should probably delete your period-tracking app if you’re in an impacted state,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire.

She also retweeted a tweet that accused her of “posting about how people can skirt abortion bans.”

“Yeah, and?” she asked.
