The U.S. Chamber of Commerce sharply criticized President Joe Biden’s proposed corporate tax hikes to pay for a $2 trillion infrastructure proposal.
The largest U.S. business group called the proposal “dangerously misguided when it comes to how to pay for infrastructure.” The group argues infrastructure improvements “should be paid for over time – say 30 years — by the users who benefit from the investment” and suggested corporate tax hikes “will slow the economic recovery and make the U.S. less competitive globally.”
